My Scale Must Be Broken

As I write this post I'm finishing my workout...successfully fought the ANTS (automated negative thoughts) that surfaced this morning when I stepped on the scale for my weekly weigh in and got the "bad"  feedback. What!!? I have "been good" this week and upped my workout intensity, and fully expected that number to be far less than last week.  EPIC fail.... Or was it?   I've been doing this long enough that I have faced this path in my journey quite often. White Roses

One of those poems that spoke peace and comfort to my heart that first year, and still helps me keep a true perspective when my mortal heart begins to ache and question as the tears flow because I miss you so much!  One I also like to pass on to other mommas, and the reason I leave you white roses. Those beautiful budding spirits, who would someday come to Earth, were nurtured and tended in the garden. I Am A Child Of God

Willa loved music, and so in addition to a beautiful piano rendition of  "Come Thou Fount" (my favorite hymn) played by a cousin, we also sang this version of  I Am A Child of God.  When I read these words, it was as if Willa was speaking to me - to us - through them.
